Peace family, my name is Malik Williams. I am a rapper from the south side of Chicago and I love reading books. I think reading is most enjoyable with friends so I started a book club. My goals are to bring together different type of people and to encourage people to read. I did not always enjoy reading. Up until my early twenties I rarely read, however I was so desperate for money that I decided to pick up a business book and that decision changed my life forever. The most important lesson I have learned is that there is a book for everything. Reading has allowed me to access knowledge I would never have had access to otherwise. Reading allows us to tap into infinite knowledge. God is all knowing therefore by reading we tap into the godlike part of ourselves. Knowing firsthand the benefits of reading, I want nothing more than to encourage people to read so that they can learn what they need to to achieve their goals.
